Medical Diagnostic Technician - Advanced

Position Title Medical Diagnostic Technician - Advanced (MRI Technologist) Compensation $70,000 – $85,705 (33.65/hr – 41.20/hr). Additional 10% shift premium for 2nd shift. Work Schedule Monday‑Friday, 2nd shift. Specific hours to be discussed at interview. Occasional weekends included. No on‑call shifts. Position Summary Primary purpose of the position is to facilitate MRI services for the Biomedical Res Imaging Center (BRIC) utilizing technical and administrative expertise. Technical responsibilities include providing safety for research subjects during studies and conducting MRI, MR/PET, PET/CT, and CT studies with or without radioactive nuclides. Administrative responsibilities include using the imaging scheduling system, adhering to safety standards and SOPs, logging accurate machine time for billing, and managing relationships with multiple investigators. The role involves caring for research subjects and clinical patients of all ages, from newborns to adults, including those who are very ill or at the end of life. Sign‑on Bonus Sign‑on bonus of $5,000 is available, paid in two installments: $2,500 within 30 days of hire date and $2,500 12 months after hire date. Eligibility is detailed in the special instructions. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in medical diagnostics; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Certain positions may require additional training, certifications, or licenses. Preferred Qualifications Training, experience, and certification in high‑field MRI (3 T and 7 T) Nuclear Medicine/Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) MIMvista imaging software Knowledge and experience in imaging research Position / Schedule Requirements Evening work and occasional overtime.
