Associate Strategic Account Manager

Associate Strategic Account Manager (ASAM) – Chicago, IL Location: Chicago, IL Travel: Up to 75% within assigned territory Compensation: $75,000 base + up to $25,000 performance-based commission A high‑visibility role designed to develop future sales leaders. Ideal for professionals building foundational sales experience, you’ll gain hands‑on experience managing real customer accounts, working alongside experienced sales and clinical leaders, and directly impacting revenue growth and patient access to life‑changing therapies. Key Responsibilities Develop core account management and consultative selling skills within a regulated healthcare environment. Drive utilization and revenue growth across existing customer accounts. Analyze business performance and identify growth opportunities within clinical practices. Partner with healthcare providers to expand patient access and improve operational effectiveness. Support customers using structured performance tools, including the 5 Stars Success Program. Collaborate closely with Area Sales Managers, Clinical Training Managers, and Regional Practice Managers. Travel extensively (up to 75%) to build relationships and develop confidence in customer‑facing environments. Build strong business discipline through CRM management, forecasting, and expense reporting. Qualifications Early‑career talent with a sales mindset and a strong desire to grow. Motivated by goals, performance metrics, and career advancement. Communicates confidently and enjoys building relationships. Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable with frequent travel. Desires hands‑on exposure to healthcare sales, account management, and business strategy. Curious, coachable, and eager to learn from experienced leaders. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field. Internship, entry‑level role, or exposure to sales, account management, healthcare, biotech, or other regulated industries. Interest in marketing initiatives that drive engagement and growth. Nice to Have (But Not Required) Exposure to biotech or pharmaceutical environments, including Buy & Bill models. Familiarity with clinical specialties such as psychiatry, neurology, dermatology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, or oncology. Interest in supporting new program launches in healthcare settings.
