Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their communication needs in both elementary and middle school settings. This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload, collaborating with educators and families to foster academic and social success for children.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students at one elementary and one middle school
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records and document progress toward objectives
- Lead or contribute to IEP meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations for student support
- Stay current with best practices in school-based speech-language therapy
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Maryland SLP License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Schools-based SLP experience preferred, particularly serving elementary and middle grades
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational setting
- Flexible, compassionate, and committed to making a positive impact in students’ lives
