Take the next step in your speech-language pathology career by supporting young learners in a dynamic school-based setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals who value flexibility and the chance to make a real impact with an engaging, itinerant caseload. Located near Leonardtown, MD, this role focuses on an Infant and Toddler Program, allowing you to work closely with children and families across different locations—with mileage reimbursement between sites.
This position starts as soon as possible and runs through July 1, 2027, with an 11-month contract, offering the consistency of steady work while maintaining your flexibility. The schedule is part time—choose 2-3 days a week that fit your lifestyle, ranging from 15 to 24 hours weekly.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Active state of Maryland Speech Language Pathologist license required
- ASHA CCC or CFY status welcomed
- Previous experience in schools or with infant/toddler caseloads is highly valued
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and travel between sites (with paid mileage)
- Commitment to therapeutic excellence and supporting diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services to infants and toddlers under a school district program
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement individualized interventions
- Collaborate with families, educators, and support staff to foster student communication growth
- Maintain documentation and submit progress reports in accordance with program guidelines
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for families and educational teams
