Every commercial real estate deal produces two things: a closing, and a client deciding who they’ll call next time. This firm wants that call coming to you.

I’m Clark Pollins, a recruiter at Distinct Recruitment. I’m hiring for a Raleigh law firm that needs an experienced commercial real estate attorney. It’s a role for someone who wants to grow a practice, not just a billable total.

Why it’s worth a move

• Your clients stay with the firm, even when a deal goes wrong. Its real estate litigation team has earned Best Lawyers’ National Tier 1 ranking four years in a row. When a transaction turns into a dispute, you hand it to colleagues you trust, and the relationship stays yours.
• The billable target is 1,800 to 1,900 hours. That leaves real room in your week to go out and win clients.

• Drafting and reviewing disclosure agreements.

One range, two levels

• Nearer $130,000: an experienced associate who already runs transactions alone and wants that independence to lead somewhere, toward clients of their own.
• Nearer $260,000: someone with established client relationships or portable work.
• Where you land depends on the deals you run and the clients you bring.

Who they want

• Significant experience on complex commercial real estate transactions.
• The confidence to run a deal without someone checking your work at every turn.
• An interest in building a practice. Existing relationships help, but appetite counts too.
