Job Functions: Lead development team(s) as a mentor, coach, teacher, and facilitator to develop self-organizing, high-performing teams. Actively work to remove impediments, keep the team moving forward without interruption or distraction and build excitement around technology Facilitate scrum ceremonies – Sprint planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint demo, retrospectives, and feature planning. Create, maintain, and report on burndowns, key metrics, and dashboards. Gather and understand business requirements from business/product owners & SME’s. With Scrum Team, translate business goals and requirements to epics, features, and user stories. Author additional requirements artifacts and project documentation as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new feature functional designs, functional requirements, limitations, and implementation of new initiatives. Apply baseline understanding of performing data imports/exports, standard APIs, and other common application development concepts to technical and functional discussions. Provide exceptional internal and external user product support, escalating issues, and defects through scrum team product backlogs. Conduct meetings spanning multiple teams on complex matters in an efficient and effective manner Act as a trusted liaison between development teams and product management, ensuring that appropriate project progress is made. Identify and resolves impediments that slow development or prevent the team from meeting established goals or milestones. Perform work under general supervision. Foster teamwork and improve team velocity over time with continuous improvement Assist in release planning and deployment activities including production smoke testing, training documentation, change management and post-deployment support. Experience and Qualifications: A mix of education, certifications and work experience makes for a successful Scrum Master. The following expectations are preferred: Education Bachelor Master’s degree. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certifications. Other Professional Certifications (Six Sigma, CBAP, ITIL, SAFe or similar) 2+ years of relevant work experience Agile methodology experience including Scrum are preferred. Working knowledge of software development tools (Azure DevOps/VSTS etc.) is preferred. Proven record of accomplishment of building strong relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to earn their trust, confidence, and respect. Skills: Enthusiastic and quick learner with an ability to rampup in technologies and modules to meet business needs. Demonstrates strong analytical capabilities with close attention to detail. Excellent ability to prioritize and manage numerous competing demands. Strong Customer Focus and Solution Orientated. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in in person and virtual settings. Effective at working independently and able to make decisions quickly when necessary. Skilled in developing and mentoring others. Advanced knowledge of continuous improvement concepts in Agile framework Basic knowledge of databases, systems integration, application development and reporting. Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.) Demonstrated ability to solve business problems with creativity. Physical Demands: Ability to engage in repetitive motions, including movements of the hands, wrists, or fingers. Ability to sit for prolonged periods. Ability to speak, including expressing oneself or exchanging information with others. Ability to hear, including perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to see and distinguish shapes with or without corrective eyewear. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound. May be required to lift objects less than 25 pounds, occasionally.
