Registered Nurse - ICU with Cardiac Experience

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our ICU unit, specializing in cardiac care. This position requires a commitment to high-quality patient care and a willingness to float to various units as needed. The RN will work closely with a dedicated team to manage both complex and critical cases in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to ICU patients, particularly those with cardiac conditions.
• Float to PCU and Med Surg departments as required by patient census and unit needs.
• Manage complex critical care equipment, including IABP and Impella.
• Administer CRRT and monitor patients post-operative CABG procedures.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication and documentation using the EPIC system.
• Participate in team collaboration to enhance patient care and experience.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years' ICU experience, with a strong focus on cardiac care.
• Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT is essential.
• Proficiency in managing patients post-op CABG, particularly Day 2/Day 3.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Active NE or compact RN license in good standing is mandatory.
• Pediatric experience is highly preferred.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule of 12-hour night shifts (0600-1830 / 1800-0630). The RN will be expected to work every other weekend and may be required to take up to 2 additional mandatory shifts every 6 weeks.
