Clinical Research Coordinator II

Site: The General Hospital Corporation Job Summary The Clinical Research Coordinator will support research activities across two primary areas: the SPARC-XP study (50%) and departmental research operations within the Psychiatry Department (50%). SPARC-XP Study Responsibilities Recruit, screen, and consent participants Coordinate and schedule participant study visits Conduct and lead study visits in accordance with protocol Collect, manage, and organize study data while ensuring accuracy and compliance Contribute to manuscript development Departmental Responsibilities Report directly to the Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Psychiatry Attend departmental meetings and document/distribute meeting notes Develop and disseminate departmental communications, including newsletters and updates Coordinate and support departmental research initiatives and projects The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining compliance with research protocols and institutional guidelines. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Assists with determining the suitability of study subjects and acts as a resource for patients and families. Has input into recruitment strategies and may contribute to protocol recommendations. Administers scores and evaluates study questionnaires. Maintains research data, patient files, regulatory binders, and study databases. Performs data analysis and QA/QC checks and organizes and interprets data. Assists with preparation for annual review and assists PI in completing study reports and presentations. May assist with training and orientation of new staff members. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree Science required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes Licenses and Credentials Experience Related post-bachelor's degree research experience 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Ability to work more independently and as a team member. Computer literacy, analytical skills, and ability to resolve technical problems. Ability to interpret the acceptability of data results. Working knowledge of data management programs.
