Private Client Services Associate
Hughes Hubbard is looking for an associate with 4+ years of experience to join our Private Client Services practice. Candidates must have experience primarily in tax law, wealth management, and trusts and estates.
Counsel high-net-worth individuals and family entities on estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer and income tax matters.
Draft prenuptial and postnuptial agreements; have experience in estate administration and all aspects of tax controversy, including dealing with IRS examinations and appeals.
Perform legal research and analysis; able to use library reference materials and/or electronic resource tools.
Communicate and correspond with colleagues, clients, other counsel; establish and maintain effective working relations with others.
Communicate effectively in English orally and in writing; able to organize and prioritize workload; able to understand and follow written and oral directions.
JD degree
Bachelor's degree
Must be admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
The ideal candidate has trusts and estates experience at a large NYC firm with a Private Client Services practice comparable to Hughes Hubbard's.
Preference for candidates with stellar law firm employment history (limited changes since law school graduation).
