Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialist in a healthcare facility setting. This position involves supporting vascular and endovascular surgeries, including open repairs and percutaneous approaches, requiring comprehensive knowledge of wires, sheaths, and hybrid room equipment. The role is designed for qualified professionals with a focus on patient safety and surgical excellence.

Job Details

• Position Description: The role involves vascular and endovascular surgery support, including open repairs and percutaneous procedures such as EVAR, TCAR, iliac stents, carotids, open peripheral bypasses, and open AAA. Utilizes equipment like Davincii robot and hybrid room tools (injector, IVUS).
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS (American Heart Association) and Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA. A minimum of 2 years of experience in vascular or thoracic surgery scrub experience is preferred.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week, from 0600 to 1830, with variable on-call time and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with hybrid room procedures, wire and sheath management, and open vascular or thoracic surgery scrub techniques.
• Additional Information: The position may require rotational float to other units or departments, primarily general surgery. Orientation period of 1-2 weeks based on candidate comfort. The facility accepts local travelers with a 12% rate reduction; call is required both during weekdays and weekends. The candidate must be able to scrub hearts and non-cardiovascular OR cases, with prior experience in similar-sized hospital settings.
