About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: CVOR - Vascular/Endo Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 0600-1830 Experience: Minimum 2 years of previous experience required License: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Ability to scrub hearts and non-CVOR cases (ortho and general) - Knowledge of wires and sheaths - Familiarity with open vascular and thoracic surgery - Experience with hybrid room procedures - Ability to scrub open repairs and percutaneous approaches Description: This position is for vascular and endovascular surgery. Roles include assisting with open repairs and percutaneous approaches. Candidates must have knowledge of wires, sheaths, and hybrid room equipment. Experience with EVAR, TCAR, iliac stents, carotids, open peripheral bypasses, and open AAA is essential. Equipment utilized includes the Davincii robot and hybrid room equipment. The position rarely requires floating to other units, most likely to general surgery. There are 4 CVOR rooms and 1 hybrid room in the department. Client-provided scrubs are required for this position. Variable on-call requirements exist during the week and weekends. Cancellation up to 24 hours is applicable for every 13-week assignment.
