The Opportunity

We are a growing construction services company providing new installations and recurring service throughout the Tri-State area, with continued expansion into additional markets.

We are seeking a hands-on Chief Operating Officer – Field Service & Installation Operations to lead the day-to-day operation of the business and help drive its next stage of growth.

This role is ideal for a senior operator from a field-service, specialty-trade, equipment-service, facilities, or installation-and-maintenance business who understands how to run the full service lifecycle—from scheduling and dispatch through field execution, warehouse and parts, customer service, management accountability, and financial performance.

The COO will work closely with ownership to improve execution, strengthen department leaders, create operating visibility, and build the infrastructure required to scale.

This is not a corporate oversight role. We need someone who gets close to the operation, understands what drives performance, and moves quickly to improve it.

Responsibilities

• Own company-wide operations across installation, recurring service, scheduling, field operations, warehouse, customer service, HR, and finance coordination.

• Improve scheduling, dispatch, technician and crew utilization, response times, service completion, and overall customer experience.

• Lead and develop department managers, creating clear accountability for performance and results.

• Establish and manage KPIs around productivity, service levels, callbacks, scheduling, quality, labor efficiency, and operational performance.

• Identify bottlenecks across field and office operations and implement practical solutions that improve execution and profitability.

• Build scalable processes, systems, and leadership infrastructure to support continued growth and geographic expansion.

Must-Haves

• Proven senior operations leadership within a field-service, construction service, maintenance, facilities, specialty trade, equipment-service, or similarly service-driven business .

• Experience overseeing both new installation/project work and ongoing service or maintenance operations .

• Experience leading multiple departments and managing managers.

• Strong understanding of scheduling, dispatch, workforce utilization, service delivery, field productivity, and customer response.

• Demonstrated success improving operational performance through KPIs, systems, process improvement, and accountability.

• Track record of helping an operational business grow while maintaining quality, customer service, and profitability.
