Events Associate

Job Description

This position is hybrid and based out of our New York City office reporting to the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute 5-10 live events per year with attendees ranging from 50-200, responsibilities to include:
\n
• Source venues and vendors
\n
• Negotiate contracts
\n
• Prepare BEOs and order appropriate AV
\n
• Order signage, supplies, prepare PowerPoints
\n
• Work with committees and volunteers
\n
• Proof marketing materials
\n
• Monitor expenses; review and submit invoices, reconcile budget
\n
• Prepare and assemble badges
\n
• Prepare post-event recap
\n
• Provide on-site support at larger conferences ranging from 1,000-10,000 attendees as needed
\n
• Manage general team operations such as updating calendars and processing credit card authorizations
\n
• Provide general administrative support to VP and Senior Manager as needed
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or related field preferred
\n
• Up to 2 years professional experience planning in-person, small-scale events and providing administrative support for events and conferences preferred
\n
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
\n
• Strong computer skills including: MS Office 365, Adobe, Concur
