Bargaining Unit UUP Job Summary The Department of Anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS), General Anesthesiologist. The successful candidate will: Administer anesthesia through anesthetic techniques (general, regional, & sedation) to patients in general operating room ambulatory setting and obstetrical suite. Participate in clinical operating room supervision and classroom teaching as well as conduct evaluations for residents and medical students, as required by the department. Mentor students and residents in research and scholarly activities. Participate in administrative duties and on-call assignments as required by the department. Clinical service includes general operating room and ambulatory coverage; committed call are in 4-week cycles, 4-calls per cycle. Required Qualifications Medical Doctor Degree. Successful completion of training in an ACGME accredited residency. New York State Medical Licensure. Board Certified in Anesthesiology. Sub-specialty (if applicable).
