This correctional facility provides primary care services to an adult patient population in a secure clinical environment approximately 30 minutes from Richmond, Virginia. The facility operates with established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery and is supported by registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Clinicians are expected to deliver professional and accurate care within the framework of correctional healthcare.

The area surrounding Richmond, Virginia offers a range of attractions, including boat tours, trolley tours, and food tours, alongside cultural institutions such as the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and history museums. Outdoor enthusiasts may consider day trips to destinations such as Shenandoah National Park, Virginia Beach, and the Blue Ridge Parkway for scenic views. The Historic Triangle, Fredericksburg, and Virginia's Northern Neck also serve as notable excursions within the region.

The physician will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients in a correctional facility setting Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, managing approximately 18-20 patients per day. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, managing chronic medical conditions, and treating acute illnesses while maintaining accurate documentation. No call coverage is required for this position. Required credentials include a Virginia medical license, DEA registration, board certification, and prescriptive authority.
