Warehouse Receiver

Job Summary:

The warehouse receiver performs any and all duties involved with maintaining a clean, near, and orderly plant, office area, and/or outside grounds if required. Warehouse receiver will be responsible for unloading shipments with a forklift or pallet jack.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will work within a team of people performing similar duties. Along with one or more team


members, a Century warehouse receiver worker may perform some or all of the following duties


during a given shift:

• Must be able to do arithmetic calculations and work with computer programs, such as ABS/Linen Master, and Microsoft.
• Checking In Freight - Counts incoming product according to procedure. This must be done accurately and in a timely, organized manner.
• Must follow procedures that identifies and records apparent discrepancies, miss-ships, and damage; reporting to the management as required. Performs detailed audits as required.
• Work set schedule, and be open to occasional overtime as needed, and on short notice.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Reading and writing comprehension, computer and math skills typically associated with a high school level education
• Quality orientation and high attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
• Strong teamwork skills- ready and willing to work closely with team members
• Open to and able to work day or night shifts, and willing to rotate shifts depending on production need
• Open to long hours and working weekends (Sat/Sun)

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Prior experience working in a plant environment
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Physical Requirements:

• Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting 50 lbs. or more.
• Constant pushing/pulling of laundry carts with weights of 250 lbs. is common with some cart weights exceeding 600 lbs.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.

Work Environment:

Production areas of a typical industrial facility, which includes working with and around large machinery, variations in temperature, noise, odors, humidity, lint, dust, chemicals, and other hazards.
