Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and pallet jacks, to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Assist with order picking and packing to fulfill customer requests accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow OSHA guidelines to promote a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve efficiency in material handling.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and order picking.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation, particularly forklifts.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid forklift certification is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and operate machinery safely.
