Project Specialist

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) division is seeking a Project Specialist to support the successful execution of power systems and electrical infrastructure projects. This position can be based in Raleigh, North Carolina or Moon Township, PA.This position reports into the EESS Strategic Programs team and the primary function is to provide the Strategic Programs team with consistent and intimate support in managing their projects. The Project Specialist is responsible for project cost tracking, ongoing cost estimate validation, project schedule (development/maintenance), creation of purchase requisitions, material and equipment ordering & tracking, subcontractor/vendor requests for pricing, submittal generation/oversight, document control, and warranty support.The Project Specialist is also responsible for the development/oversight of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)/Cost Milestones for the business unit's revenue recognition projects, as well as supporting ongoing intercompany negotiation activities, specifically including, but not limited to, interfacing within the various company resources for pricing on Eaton equipment and services.The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000 a year. The Project Controls Engineer (PCE) is responsible for project cost tracking, ongoing cost estimate validation, project schedule (development/maintenance), creation of purchase requisitions, material and equipment ordering & tracking, subcontractor/vendor requests for pricing, submittal generation/oversight, document control, and warranty support.The Project Controls Engineer is also responsible for the development/oversight of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)/Cost Milestones for the business unit's revenue recognition projects, as well as supporting ongoing intercompany negotiation activities, specifically including, but not limited to, interfacing within the various company resources for pricing on Eaton equipment and services.In this position you will:Interface with other Eaton plants & services for solutions and price negotiationInterface with external vendors for quotation requestsReview/create order summaries based off purchase order and proposal files to identify order entry requirementsResponsible for equipment order accuracy, Value-Engineer equipment design and equipment schedule for the projectDevelop & compile project submittals and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manualsDevelop WBS/Cost Milestones forecast worksheets for revenue recognition projectsMaintain project schedule, cost tracking, and cost estimate with the project management teamMaintain project documentation control and lead lessons learnedLead Program level Backlog meetings and margin reviewsGenerate 3rd party equipment purchase order requisitionRequest authorized price levels for order entry in to Bid MangerProcess requests for Bid Manager equipment configuration and order entryProvide technical assistance after order receipt & interface with Eaton plants and service organizationsFile intercompany warranty Requests and manage warranty for ordersManage an entire project as an assigned Project Managers (based on project size and complexity)Manage & support System Factory Acceptance TestDevelop & maintain customer SOV (Schedule of Values) and assist in vendor SOVManage Eaton plant & factory communicationCreate a bill of materials for a project proposalQualifications:Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 3 years of experience in engineering, sales, project management or field service experience in electrical assemblies, electrical distribution and/or power protection technology OR Associates Degree from an accredited institution and 5 years’ experience engineering, sales, project management or field service experience in electrical assemblies, electrical distribution and/or power protection technologyEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
