Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN for a night shift, every-other-weekend role requiring active MA RN licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Float pool position covering 8 Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital, including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• Care for ED boarder patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented, transfer-ready ICU patients
• Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights
• Units range from 8 to 41 beds within a 371-bed hospital
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
• Some rotation to days/evenings required, with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certification required
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a travel nurse required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required, including interpreting strips every 4 hours
• TR Band experience required
• Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read tele strips
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac monitoring, manage cardiac drips, and interpret telemetry strips as part of daily patient care
• Free on-site parking available
• Local candidates accepted; those residing within 60 miles of the facility will receive a reduced rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered given the experience requirements
