Senior Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient

Our Inpatient Pharmacy team delivers comprehensive and high-quality medication distribution services across the hospital. We manage all aspects of inpatient drug delivery - including unit dose dispensing, IV admixture preparation, and specialized systems for controlled substances and investigational drugs. We leverage advanced automation and robotic dispensing technology to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety in every step of the process. The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma and hold a current Pharmacy Technician Registration. In addition, candidates should have at least two (2) years of experience in an Inpatient pharmacy setting, including a minimum of one (1) year of hands-on experience with sterile compounding. Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
License/Certification
Required: Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
Preferred: Current Certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Current Intravenous Medication Certification (IV-Sterile Products) approved by the Accreditation Counsel for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
Experience
Required: Two years pharmacy technician experience in a hospital, infusion center, or retail pharmacy.
Preferred: Experience in hazardous sterile compounding, high risk sterile compounding, nonsterile compounding, inventory management, and Pharmacy employee training. Experience in OR, critical care, pediatrics, ordering/receiving medications, and controlled substances. This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
