About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Portfolio Performance to engage in a strategic and hands-on role, directly partnering with a select group of businesses to achieve revenue and earnings targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with the leadership of these businesses, driving performance against operating plans, and ensuring operational excellence and clear visibility. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, execution, and the ability to influence outcomes across various functions. The VP will also be involved in weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, as well as board communications, and will be expected to travel extensively to work on-site with the portfolio companies. Applicants for the VP of Portfolio Performance position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' experience in management consulting, private equity, or similar roles, and a Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. The role demands a professional with a strong background in financial acumen, problem-solving, and the ability to influence and build trust with diverse stakeholders. A high level of adaptability and a willingness to travel are essential. While not mandatory, experience with small or medium-sized businesses and a blend of consulting and hands-on operating experience are preferred. The ideal candidate will be a force multiplier, capable of driving buy-in, and will be deeply committed to the mission of preserving and enhancing the legacy of small businesses.
