Senior Risk Analyst

Risk & Controls Analyst — Recruiter-Friendly JD Location: Hybrid — 3 days onsite Duration: 12+ months Rate: $70–$80/hr Role Summary Seeking a Risk & Controls Analyst to support technology and cybersecurity control measurement within a large financial institution. The role focuses on defining and documenting control metrics/KCIs that provide ongoing visibility into control effectiveness. The analyst will work with control owners, policy teams, and engineering/reporting teams to translate control requirements into clear metric definitions and requirements for dashboard implementation. Key Responsibilities Partner with security/technology control owners to understand controls and supporting data. Define KPIs/KCIs , including data sources, numerator/denominator logic, thresholds, and exceptions. Ensure metrics remain aligned with evolving policies and controls. Translate technical requirements into clear documentation for engineering/BI teams. Support governance reporting, escalation, and control-performance processes. Manage stakeholders across multiple technology and cybersecurity domains. Must-Have 5+ years in Information Security or Information Technology. 2+ years hands-on experience with technology/cybersecurity controls such as: Vulnerability Management IAM Firewall/Security Administration Experience defining security/control metrics or KCIs . Understanding of KPIs, OKRs, and control assurance . Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and financial-services regulatory environments. Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills. Experience working in a large enterprise environment . Nice-to-Have Public cloud knowledge. Broad security knowledge across IAM, data, network, application, and system security. Security logging, monitoring, or incident-response experience. Cybersecurity certification.
