New Tech Global is currently seeking a CNC Machinist for a manufacturing client located in East Houston, TX to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Pay: $23.00/hour

Schedule: Full-Time

Summary

Responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, producing precision-machined components, performing dimensional inspections, maintaining product quality and traceability, and supporting continuous improvement efforts within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with FANUC controls, premium threading, blueprint reading, and CNC setup operations.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines completely and properly for production runs.
• Perform setups and machine premium threaded connections on various product and material types.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Select tooling and perform complete machine setups without supervision.
• Calculate and set machining factors including speeds, feeds, and cutting depths.
• Perform machining operations requiring multiple setups and close tolerances.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain product traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machining and production issues.
• Report quality concerns and non-conformances to supervisors and lead personnel.
• Complete all required production and quality documentation.
• Assist with training and mentoring CNC Machinists as needed.
• Support leadman and supervisor responsibilities during their absence.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and quality.
• Meet or exceed production and quality performance metrics.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CNC Machinist experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with FANUC Controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
• Experience determining dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
• Ability to use precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong knowledge of machining practices, tooling selection, and machine setup.
• Experience machining and inspecting premium threaded connections.
• Ability to calculate speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
• Ability to perform multiple machine setups with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
