Job Overview We’re Hitachi Vantara, a global leader in data infrastructure. We are looking for sales professionals who can help us drive growth in the Americas by selling complex data center and storage solutions. Prerequisites Current residency in the Bay Area Experience selling data storage or complex data center solutions The Role The Account Executive will develop new relationships, close high‑value deals, and work closely with partners and internal specialists to deliver solutions that meet customer needs. Responsibilities Planning – conduct market and customer research to build effective sales strategies (10%) Prospecting and lead management – drive high‑volume prospecting to reach key decision makers (30%) Selling – coordinate team selling efforts to close business (50%) Training – complete a rigorous training agenda and become proficient in Hitachi Vantara solutions (5%) Reporting – manage forecast and update activity plans in Salesforce (5%) Qualifications Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience in infrastructure, data storage, cloud storage, hybrid data center, data management, or related IT services Proven track record of new logo acquisition and business development Strong hunter profile with skills in sourcing leads and leveraging social networking to access decision‑makers Experience working with VARs and Integrators Subject‑matter expertise in data storage, data management, data analytics, and other IT services Domain knowledge of large enterprise IT environments and corporate buying centers Consistent achievement of annual quota targets, with specific key customer wins documented Established sales management process and experience building relationships with executive-level stakeholders Track record of closing complex sales campaigns using outcome‑ and solution‑selling techniques Competitive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, matrixed environment Proficient user of Salesforce and Microsoft Office tools BA/BS degree or equivalent is desirable Compensation Base salary approximately $150,000, with up to $300,000 OTE and uncapped commissions. Compensation is based on experience and role requirements.
