We leverage our programs, our partnerships, and our collective voice to foster equity, compassion, and community engagement by creating housing, education, and economic opportunities.Position Summary:The Career Coach will be responsible for providing job search, job readiness skills and referrals for job training with a goal of helping individuals attain a living wage. The Career Coach will coach clients in ways to reduce barriers to maintaining employment, including working closely with the Senior Financial Education Staff.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Provide case management to clients on a regular basis;Identify services needed for members' personal, educational/or skill development to enhance employability.Create individual employment goals.Work to reduce employment barriers by providing resources, support and referrals.Provide internal and external wrap around services to clients throughout job placement.Perform intake and data collection as per all funding source requirementsMaintain accurate participant records and prepare reports as requiredAssist in the development of partnerships with local agencies and other community resourcesWork with team members on planning and implementation of career development workshops and events throughout the yearWork closely with Senior Financial Education staff to ensure clients attain financial stability and achieve financial goals.Uphold the values of CTI – Equity, Integrity, Compassion.The duties listed above are representative of the work performed. Other related duties may be assigned.Qualifications:Minimum of one year of experience in career coaching, workforce development, employment services, case management, or a related field.Experience working with low-income, unemployed, underemployed, or otherwise underserved populations.Demonstrated knowledge of community resources available to low -income householdsSkills in resume development, job searching, interview preparation, networking, and career planningKnowledge and experience working with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk individualsExcellent customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsAbility to maintain accurate records and maintain confidentiality of informationStrong ability to problem-solve and use crisis management skillsPublic speaking and outreachAbility to attend training on job related skillsAbility to travel to work sitesAbility to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)Must be able to pass CORI and Federal background checkPreferred QualificationsBilingual skills (English/Spanish, English/Khmer English/Portuguese)Benefit InformationAt Community Teamwork, our employees enjoy best-in-class benefits to support their physical, financial, and emotional wellness.
