Overview Brandi's Hope is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The right candidate should be patient, kind, caring, and engaging, with strong interactive skills and a positive, creative, and energetic attitude. The role focuses on putting the needs of the person supported at the center of work and working in a team-oriented environment. A full benefits package is available for qualified applicants. All applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalency, have a minimum two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, hold a valid driver\'s license, and pass background checks. Multiple shifts are available; please contact Brandi\'s Hope. The starting pay for this position is $10.00 per hour with a set, guaranteed schedule of 45 hours per week. The overtime rate for Direct Support Professionals is $15.00. DSPs receive 3 hours of unworked overtime pay for perfect attendance each week after they have worked 42 hours, making the effective rate for worked hours $11.31 per hour. After orientation, the base rate increases to $11.50 per hour, overtime to $17.25, and the rate for hours worked becomes $13.01. Responsibilities Provide daily support to individuals with varying degrees of development/intellectual disabilities. Assist with job supports, self-care, recreational activities, and community inclusion. Transport clients to appointments as needed. Act as a job advocate or assist with feeding and hygiene as required, depending on client needs. T duties will be discussed with the employer. Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable work experience in the last three (3) years. Current, valid driver\'s license to transport clients as needed. Current CPR training.
