Director, Procurement - Shockwave Medical

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Director of Procurement for Shockwave Medical in Santa Clara to lead procurement strategy for cardiovascular device products. The role combines procurement excellence with people leadership, overseeing direct materials, indirect procurement, and strategic sourcing while building and developing a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year procurement and category strategies aligned with growth, margin, quality, and continuity goals
• Build scalable, diversified supplier network and anticipate capacity, geopolitical, quality, and financial risks
• Lead supplier segmentation, performance governance, and high-value negotiations and agreements
• Partner with R&D, Operations, Quality, Finance on design-to-value and new product introduction readiness
• Set clear direction, priorities, and accountability; attract, retain, and develop procurement team talent

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
• 12+ years progressive procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or supplier-risk experience
• 5+ years leading managers or professional teams in complex, regulated, global environment
• Proven track record developing multi-year procurement strategies creating value and resilience
• Experience leading executive supplier relationships and complex negotiations
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and supply-chain economics
• Advanced degree preferred
