R&D Technician II - Shockwave Medical

Johnson & Johnson seeks an R&D Technician II to support development of innovative cardiovascular medical devices at Shockwave Medical in Santa Clara, California. The role involves prototyping, fabrication, testing, and cross-functional collaboration throughout product development cycles.
Responsibilities
- Generate functional prototypes from design concepts and support transfer to manufacturing
- Support product builds across all R&D phases with assembly feedback and troubleshooting
- Prepare test samples and perform testing for design, process, and equipment validation
- Maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, drawings, and processes
- Assist engineers and other technicians with product assembly, procedures, and development
Requirements
- High school diploma with 2+ years technician experience or 3 years medical device hands-on experience
- Ability to perform work under a microscope
- Familiarity with GMP, GDP, and laboratory practices
- Comfortable working in clean room environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced settings
- MS Office proficiency
- Experience with balloon catheter or cardiovascular device development preferred
Compensation: $47,150.00 - $76,705.00 base
