R&D Technician

Salary: USD26 - USD33 per hour Ultimate Staffing is hiring R&D Technicians to work onsite at a Battery Manufacturing plant in San Jose CA. Experience working in clean rooms, medical and/or semiconductor industry is preferred but not mandatory Swing Shift: 1:00PM to 9:30PM Monday to Friday. Long term job opportunity. Here are some key details from their job descriptions: Responsibilities: A R&D Technician supports solid-state battery development by executing cell fabrication, processing materials, and managing lab operations. Key responsibilities include running experiments with scientists, following standard operating procedures (SOPs), and documenting test results. Core Responsibilities Cell Fabrication & Testing: Build coin cells, pouch cells, or proprietary solid-state devices following strict SOPs. Experiment Support: Partner with engineers and scientists on materials processing, metrology, and lab experiments. Data & Documentation: Record experimental data, track inventory, and report anomalies or results using MS Office or internal tools. Lab Maintenance: Keep a clean, safe workspace and maintain equipment or supplies. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 1+ years of hands‑on experience in a laboratory, R&D, or process manufacturing environment. Physical & Environmental: Ability to work in a dry room, fume hood, or glovebox requiring fine motor skills and lifting up to 15–25 lbs. Soft Skills: Detail‑oriented, team‑focused, and able to communicate observations clearly. Highly Desired Qualifications Experience in the battery industry or hi‑tech device assembly preferred but not a must.
