Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in PCU/ICU settings required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Epic experience required - Previous charge experience preferred - Travel experience required Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care ICU. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting. Weekend shifts are required every two weeks. Candidates must possess ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications. Epic experience is mandatory. No first-time travelers are accepted. Charge experience is preferred. Experience with a patient ratio of 5:1 is beneficial. Familiarity with various nursing skills, including managing central lines and care of ventilated patients, is required. The position requires robust assessment and critical thinking abilities. Nurses will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care. Flexibility in assignments is necessary as staff may be required to float to other units or campuses based on census needs. The facility typically manages around 15 patients daily with a total of 24 beds. Interdisciplinary support is available for all patient care activities. The unit treats a diverse range of patient diagnoses and complexities. Ongoing education and compliance training will be expected as part of the role. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication and leadership skills.
