Job Overview

North Shore Law firm seeking paralegal to fill its full time position.

Civil litigation law office.

Previous civil litigation experience is a must however we will train you in our system. Insurance knowledge a plus but not required.

Hours are 9-5 Monday through Friday, partial WFH after training period. No weekend hours.

$25.00-$30.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Filing of civil complaints
• Serving of civil complaints
• Serving discovery
• Maintaining calendar of events
• Setting up depositions
• Filing return of service
• Filing of motions and defaults
• Many other aspects of handling a civil case load from beginning to end.
• Data entry
• Answer and triage incoming telephone calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel and prioritizing urgent matters.
• Process and set up payments through our third party system

Experience/Skills Required

• Prior paralegal experience in law office setting or legal departments is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage work efficiently while adhering to deadlines in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to take direction and excellent communication skills are a must.
• Employee is expected to maintain a professional atmosphere and persona, in the office, on the phone, and in email.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook is required.
• Experience with legal case management software like Abacus Law is advantageous.
• New Hampshire filing and procedure a plus but not required.

Located in downtown Peabody, MA.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
