Mechanical Engineer

Baxter seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical components for advanced infusion systems and electro-mechanical medical devices. The role involves translating user needs into product specifications, performing engineering analyses, and collaborating across cross-functional teams to bring innovations from concept through commercialization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and mechanisms for electro-mechanical medical devices
- Translate customer and user needs into product requirements, specifications, and system architectures
- Perform engineering analyses including tolerance stack-ups, structural, thermal, fatigue, and reliability assessments
- Create and validate designs using CAD and simulation tools; lead testing and troubleshooting activities
- Support product transfer to manufacturing, optimizing for scalability, quality, compliance, and cost
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 1-3 years of engineering experience in product development
- CAD modeling and mechanical design analysis experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering best practices
- Medical device or infusion pump experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities
Compensation: $76,000-$104,000 base
