POSITION SUMMARY The Delivery Coordinator (Delco) is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of products and to communicate statuses and delivery plans to the Customer Service Representatives and the Delivery Assurance Manager. They are the main point of contact for internal customers. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate and direct internal and externals customer orders through the manufacturing process. Respond to delivery related or product related inquires as needed. This includes direct communication with plant operations, shipping, and quality. Daily engagement the Delivery Assurance Manager to identify delivery risks, barriers and delivery status. Constantly looking to identify obstacles early, actively working to resolve those impediments, and escape when needed. Identify and participate in resolution of process flow routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Maintain delivery schedules to ensure timely completion (horse blankets, LOB, etc.), Communicate clear and timely status’ through tools to upstream customers. Work closely with site operations to ensure stable workflow of orders, priorities, and stock management (i.e., stagnant WIP, work order issues, holds). This includes direct communication with the Master Schedulers, Materials Managers and Central Planning Manager. Some sites will require the Delivery Coordinator to schedule production. You will use site scheduling tools to set clear scheduling, adhering to capacity and specific site limitations. With sites that have a master scheduler, work closely to ensure timely release and correct flow of production orders. Identify and direct resolution of process flow routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Participate in cross-functional discussion in delivery clinics to identify root cause and prioritized corrective actions. KEY DELIVERABLES Update Horse blanket Past due + 4 weeks (need to eventually get out 8 weeks) Responsible for reducing work orders, cut without a cut slip and splitting work orders Responsible for putting jobs on hold. i.e. Details, Hardware, Tools, Material Updating Coverage Files and LOBs Updating BP File/SPI File (Monthly Sales)- Weekly Updating GTG File daily with root cause and current cause Identify critical parts and make sure they are identified on the shop floor Going out on the shop floor touching jobs and working with supervisors and leads to ensure jobs are moving. Responsible for getting timelines for critical parts when requested by the CSR team. These dates would come from the supervisors in the different areas. Identify bottlenecks and issues and bringing them up to daily OBEYA. DELCO will hand internal company calls along with updating Lean DNA. Scrap and Replace Process for Internal Customers. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role. Background in manufacturing environment and Bachelor's degree preferred Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college in business, engineering, or materials management required with a minimum of 4 years’ customer service experience in aerospace manufacturing or closely related industry. Or, a High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years’ customer service experience in aerospace manufacturing or closely related industry Quality Communication Interpretation of information furnished orally, written, and/or diagram form, Time Management -well organized, possesses the ability to prioritize, maintain focus and follows through to end of projects Customer relationship building Works effectively independently and in a team environment Capable of Practical Problem Solving and Decision Making using analytical skills Use of Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Experience with Access software is desired. Effectively presents information, responds to questions in one-on-one and group environments Proven understanding of process flows, lead-times and lean principles in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of all Production Control functions Ability to learn each product line’s capabilities and limitations Technical skills and understanding of machinery and shop floor terminology PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds WHY CHOOSE SONACA NORTH AMERICA?
