Job Description:

InGenesis is currently seeking a Payroll Clerk to work for our client. In this role, you will y satisfactorily. Job Duties

• Answers high volume of telephone inquiries from employees, departments and vendors; routes other calls accordingly.
• Completes data entry from payroll forms, time sheets, production records, or individual timecards to computerized payroll system.
• Ensures accuracy of entries including employee name, days worked, overtime earnings if any, date, gross pay, deductions, required withholdings and net earnings.
• Computes withholdings and deductions where multi-state tax laws are involved as well as payments on sales draws and commissions.
• Prepares payroll for distribution; processes purchase requisitions and travel requests and reimbursements.
• Take ownership of the State and Federal tax filing processes with minimal or no supervision or direction.
• Inventory and ordering of office supplies.
• Sorts and distributes all incoming mail.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One (1) year of related experience is required.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines is critical to success in this position.
• Fundamental knowledge of payroll concepts, practices and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations.
• Detail oriented with strong planning and organizational skills while balancing multiple priorities.
• Proficient computer skills inclusive of ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information.
• Strong verbal, written, customer, and interpersonal communication skills.
