Role Description The Pastry Cook is a full-time, on-site role based in Las Vegas, NV, responsible for producing high-quality pastries and desserts that align with Nobu’s standards and culinary style. Day-to-day tasks include preparing, baking, and finishing pastries, cakes, and plated desserts, as well as assisting with menu execution during service. The Pastry Cook will organize and maintain the pastry station, adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, and ensure consistent portioning and presentation. This role collaborates closely with the pastry and culinary team, supports inventory and mise en place, and may help develop new items under the guidance of senior chefs. Qualifications Strong foundation in pastry production and baking, with experience in Bakery operations and Baking techniques. Cooking skills that support dessert preparation, plating, and coordination with the hot kitchen. Commitment to Hygiene and safe food-handling practices, including proper storage, labeling, and cleanliness. Creativity Skills for developing and presenting visually appealing and innovative desserts within Nobu’s brand standards. Previous experience in a professional pastry or kitchen environment, ideally in fine dining or upscale hospitality. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting and follow recipes and instructions accurately. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
