Registered Nurse SICU

$2205.24/week - Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse in the SICU unit is a registered professional nurse responsible for providing safe, high-quality patient care utilizing evidence-based practices and nursing theory. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care, ensure patient safety, and promote positive health outcomes. Responsibilities: Assess and evaluate patient needs, applying critical thinking to develop individualized care plans. Deliver patient-centered care by implementing nursing procedures aligned with organizational standards and research findings. Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies. Educate patients and their families about disease management, care transitions, and health promotion. Maintain accurate documentation of nursing interventions and patient responses in compliance with regulatory requirements. Initiate and participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and institutional policies. Qualifications: Hold a valid NYS RN license. Possess BLS and ACLS certifications. Have a minimum of 2 years of ICU or Med-Surg experience. Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Preferably have EPIC electronic health record experience. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; relevant experience or active BSN program enrollment considered.
