RN Medical Oncology Telemetry / PCU
Schedule - Shift: Days/Nights (rotating)
Assignment Details - Unit type: Oncology Telemetry with PCU-level care (36 beds; >24 PCU)
Requirements - Required: high-acuity PCU experience - Must have valid RN license in hand at time of submission - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
Roles & Responsibilities - Provide high-acuity nursing care to adult patients in an oncology telemetry unit. - Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry; interpret dysrhythmias. - Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including blood product administration. - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care. - Implement infection prevention and fall prevention protocols. - Perform assessments and develop nursing care plans based on patient needs.
Compliance / Notes - Orientation: 72 hours total (Week 1: MonFri days; Week 2: on-unit with preceptor) - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) - References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager/director.
