Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with daily patient care activities, ensuring smooth clinic operations.
• Prepare patients for examinations, including obtaining vital signs and medical histories.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures accurately and safely to draw blood samples.
• Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and processing in accordance with safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain clinical areas, sterilize equipment, and ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing patient questions and providing instructions as directed.
• Document clinical notes and procedures accurately in patient records.
• Support administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling and patient check-in/out processes.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant with phlebotomy skills in a clinical environment.
• Certified or proficient in phlebotomy with knowledge of blood draw techniques.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows, patient care standards, and medication protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality and patient privacy.

Nice to Have Skills:

• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience working in specialty clinics such as family practice, pediatrics, or internal medicine.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and specimen handling.
• Prior experience with insurance documentation and patient education.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) credential preferred.
• At least 1-2 years of clinical medical assisting experience, including phlebotomy.

Other Requirements:

• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, with shifts typically between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm.
• Ability to work within a team and adapt to changing patient needs.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
• Valid CPR/BLS certification is preferred but can be obtained upon hire.
