Janitorial Supervisor Job Description Job Title: Janitorial Supervisor Department: Operations Reports To: Operations Manager / Director of Operations Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning operations of assigned commercial facilities, ensuring all work is completed to company standards, client specifications, and safety regulations. The supervisor provides leadership to janitorial staff, conducts quality inspections, coordinates schedules, trains employees, and maintains positive relationships with clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and direct janitorial employees assigned to multiple client locations. Schedule employees and coordinate daily work assignments. Conduct routine quality control inspections to ensure cleaning standards are met. Train new employees on cleaning procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices. Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and job performance. Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies. Respond promptly to client concerns and resolve service issues professionally. Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate records. Perform cleaning duties when necessary to maintain service levels. Enforce company policies and safety regulations. Investigate workplace incidents and complete required documentation. Coordinate special cleaning projects, floor care, carpet cleaning, and emergency coverage. Communicate regularly with management regarding staffing, customer satisfaction, and operational needs. Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 5 years of commercial janitorial experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures and equipment. Ability to lead and motivate employees. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions. Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office, mobile applications). Valid driver's license (**A MUST**) Bilingual (English – Spanish) Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Push and pull cleaning equipment and carts. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely use ladders and cleaning equipment.
