Key Responsibilities

• Read the banquet event order (BEO) and organize the rooms according to the specifications in the BEO's.

• Fully familiar with various types of configurations including but not limited to: Classroom Style, Theater Style, Conference Style, U-Shape, Hollow Square, Hollow Rectangle, Banquet Style, T-Shape and E-Shape.

• Set up and break down all department functions correctly and efficiently.

• Coordinate with the corresponding departments and people the organization of banquet rooms and halls efficiently.

• Assist in the movement and positioning of large items, including stages, tables, and chairs, and provide guidance on their proper placement.

• Check the room temperature and lighting, making adjustments as needed, and confirm that all electrical connections are working.

• Receive and secure materials and supplies from suppliers, ensuring they are stored safely.

• Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the banquet areas during and after each event.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

• Complete safety training and certifications.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to achieve common goals.

• Ensure compliance with expectations and quality standards.

• Ensure that the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.

• Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Hospitality service oriented.
• Previous experience in a similar position is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to bend, squat, and stretch for periods of 2 to 3 hours, as well as stand and walk for most of an 8-hour shift.
• Great attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, even with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Full command of Spanish and English is required.
