With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers' missions, the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs. They set up the assembly kits that enables our technicians to put together our Electron & Neutron rockets, manage inventory, look after shipping and receiving, manage direct and indirect procurement, and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard. They are the chain that links our teams together, and are critical to our success.Based onsite at Rocket Lab's global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Inventory Coordinator is tasked with all aspects of inventory management from receiving, putting into inventory, counting, and kitting, inwards and outwards goods. There are thousands of components that are used on Electron and millions of dollars of inventory that need to be received, stored, and kitted for production maintaining inventory accuracy through adherence to process, and customer satisfaction of just-in-time fulfillment makes an Inventory Coordinator a critical role in the "last mile" of our supply chain.Receive inwards goods on a FIFO basis and ensure SOP's for processing of inwards goods are adhered toEnsure accurate and on time delivery of components and production kits in accordance with production & transfer order plans / prioritiesEnsure supply of Kanban materials to shop floor is sustainedRaw material movements and replenishmentReceive inwards goods on a FIFO basis and ensure SOP's for processing of inwards goods are adhered toEnsure accurate and on time delivery of components and production kits in accordance with production & transfer order plans / prioritiesEnsure SOP'S are followed, and stock point accuracy is maintainedParticipate in a daily cycle counting program.Ensure FIFO is managed and maintained to achieve appropriate stock rotationMaintain stock point accuracy and ensure LN accurately reflects actual stock movements. Investigating and resolving any discrepancies.Additional duties as reasonably requiredHigh school diploma and 1+ year of experienceProficient using Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Access)Knowledge of MRP/ERP systemsAssociate's Degree or Bachelor's DegreeExperience in aerospace, automotive, or other heavy manufacturingExperience with control and tracking of serial, and lot controlled materials.Experience with ERP SystemsPrior experience in high-paced, rapid growth environmentTeam oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlinesStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficientlyThis position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
