Make a difference in elementary education by supporting students and staff as a contract School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. Starting September 8, 2026, and extending into mid-June, you’ll work full-time hours (approximately 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday) in a welcoming, student-centered school community near Syracuse, NY. Your expertise will help foster academic and social success for young learners across the elementary age range.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current NY School Psychologist License (NY PSYCH.)
- Experience providing psychological services within an elementary school setting preferred
- Strong ability to conduct assessments, deliver counseling, and collaborate on intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to ethical practice and respect for diversity in a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify student needs in academic, behavioral, and emotional areas
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized education plans (IEPs/504s)
- Provide individual and group counseling for students
- Support in crisis intervention, behavior management, and data-driven decision making
- Participate in meetings, attend staff development sessions, and share expertise to enrich the learning environment
- Serve as a resource and advocate for both students and staff
