For additional information visit RESPONSIBILITIES Accurately and completely reports and documents status, care rendered,response to care, provider orders, contacts with patient and/or otherhealthcare providers. Refills medication following the ARC refill protocols. Accurately and completely rooms patients, takes and documents vital signs,prepares patients for provider exam Follows clinic protocols and directions given by nursing team leader orsupervisor. Performs diagnostic testing including but not limited to EKGs, audiograms,tympanograms, spirometry, and visual screenings with reporting anddocumentation as appropriate. Monitors inventory of medical and/or office supplies and equipment, ensuringunits and/or rooms are properly stocked and supplies are current and notexpired. Orders supplies as needed. Responsible for reviewing both Provider refill in basket and assisting withdaily medication refill request using the ARC refill protocol. Responsible for reviewing EPIC triage call in basket for any callbacks. Cleans patient rooms as needed, including proper handling of dirty laundry. Ensures laundry cart is stocked with fresh linens on a daily basis. May assist providers with sigmoidoscopy exams and cardiac stress testing bysetting up equipment, assisting with patient preparation, and cleaning andstoring equipment after exam. Reports and documents appropriately. Maintains equipment (autoclaves, sterilizes, washes speculums, checksexpiration dates, etc.) Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA,compliance and Code of Conduct. Regular and dependable attendance. Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company, which are availablefor review on CMSweb. Works holiday shift(s) as required by Company policy. Staff Medical Assistant: Provides patients with educational materials as directed. Administers medication under physician’s direction and within the scope ofpractice as demonstrated by completion of training and testing. Responsible for reviewing result note in basket and calling /informingpatients of normal lab results. Reviews provider instructions regarding abnormal results. QUALIFICATIONS Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Required to meet one of the following: Medical Assistant experience, or CNA/EMT/PCT(or other comparable experience) providing direct patient care,beyond Activities of Daily Living, including experience taking manualvitals and giving medications and/or injections, or Graduate of a medical assistant program. Preferred: Six (6) months or more experience as a Medical Assistant. Ability to administer medications & injections within scope of positionwithin 90 days of hire. Knowledge of medical terminology. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Responsibilities The Medical Assistant is responsible for rooming patients, documenting vital signs, and performing various diagnostic tests.
