This general acute care facility maintains 384 beds and holds a Level II trauma designation, providing the clinical resources and established protocols necessary to support inpatient interventional cardiology services on an on-site basis. The facility is structured to accommodate 24-hour call-based cardiac care delivery, with hospital staff available to support clinical operations throughout each assigned coverage period. Clinical infrastructure is in place to ensure continuity of inpatient cardiac care across all designated weekend assignments.

The assignment area offers clinicians access to a range of entertainment, cultural, and recreational attractions suited to varied interests. Notable destinations include Universal Studios, scenic drives, and a 15-mile bike path, along with aquariums, architecture tours, and a live entertainment scene spanning music, sports, and film. Dining, outdoor recreation, and the Aquarium of the Pacific, located approximately 20 miles away, contribute to the breadth of options available during time away from clinical responsibilities.

Clinicians will provide 24-hour inpatient call coverage on-site on a weekend basis, operating on a 1:1 call ratio throughout each assigned coverage period. Coverage is structured as weekend-only assignments with no clinic duties required, and clinicians must maintain continuous availability to respond to inpatient cardiac cases and perform interventional cardiology procedures as credentialed by the facility. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, and hospital staff are available to support clinical operations throughout each designated coverage period. Board certification in Interventional Cardiology is required for consideration.
