Interim Controller

We\'re hiring on a contract basis for an immediate, few-months engagement for a dynamic and hands on Controllership professional who can step in and own the accounting function from day one. This Interim Controller is hands-on end-to-end work: month-end close, payroll accounting, financial statement and reporting preparation, and the day-to-day discipline that keeps the numbers clean and on time. You\'ll work directly with the C-suite, so this suits someone who\'s comfortable operating close to leadership and can be trusted to run the function without hand-holding. It\'s a PE-backed business in a build phase, so the environment moves quickly and the reporting needs to be right the first time! What you\'ll do: Lead the accounting function and build out the finance and accounting team as the company scales Own ERP implementation and drive automation across finance processes Lead the accounting and finance side of global acquisition integrations Establish internal controls, financial policies, and reporting discipline ahead of first commercial operations Own GAAP-compliant financial statements and external audit relationships, and partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and planning Must-haves: ERP implementation and automation experience Experience with SAP Business One is ideal ADP or similar sized platform experience for payroll accounting is ideal Track record of building and managing a finance and accounting team, not just being part of one Background in a labor-intensive, project-based industry Strong preferences: CPA Energy or mining experience, though open to other project-based industries given the labor-intensive nature of the business Public and private accounting, ideally including Big 4 or top 10 audit or advisory Able to be onsite 3 to 5 days a week Hoxton Circle is an equal opportunity employer.
