Maintenance Supervisor

Works in complia nce with all safety rules and regulations. Ensure the safety of all assigned employees through training and enforcement of all company safety guidelines. Ensure 5S, Housekeeping and Workplace Organization meet NSG Standards. Develop, Plan and Coordinate production employee activities related to producing the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost using the PDCA approach. Use and review shipment schedule. Develops both internal and external programs to meet or exceed customer expectations through continually improving products, processes and services. Ensure all production KPI’s meet or exceed budgeted levels for safety; quality, thruput, downtime, and yield. Facilitate training for all supervised employees to understand the requirements for successfully performing their job function. Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to ensure matters of mutual concern are addressed and resolved. Understand current/potential expedites during shift. Staff the shift, and coordinate assignments and responsibilities to the scheduled team members. Pre-shift Safety Walk to advise team on items to address and current conditions. Green Circle Meeting- Prep/Delivery- ANY UNSAFE CONDITIONS. Supervise shipping dock and store room operations Understand priority of customers as assigned by Materials Specialist or Materials Team Leader. Understanding of current customer condition to ensure proper flow of standard delivery, expedite mode,critical deliveries. Manage the order/load flow to staging; assess time before load out and window time. Manager dunnage handling and customer/route specific requirements. Shipment Close and Communication. Confirmation of ASN/Short Ship/Customer Contact. Process/Operations Failure Escalation Process. Qualifications Required: Minimum 2-3 years recent supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting. High school diploma or equivalent (GED), Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but will consider experience Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Ability to utilize a computer-based inventory control system. Proven ability to lead and motivate to create positive work environment including team building, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills. Resolution of employee-related issues including mentoring and training. Ability to multi-task. Excellent customer relations and communication skills (written and verbal).
