We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support financial operations from our Plymouth, Wisconsin office. In this role, you will help maintain accurate records, monitor key financial activity, and provide reporting that supports informed business decisions. The position is well suited for someone who can manage day-to-day accounting tasks while also identifying trends in costs, revenue, and financial performance.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily cash activity and maintain accurate records to support effective financial control.
• Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis and investigate discrepancies to ensure balances are correct.
• Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and maintain organized accounts payable documentation.
• Track incoming customer payments, follow up on outstanding balances, and support accounts receivable accuracy.
• Review project-related expenses and perform job cost analysis to help evaluate profitability and budget performance.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax reports in compliance with applicable regulations and deadlines.
• Compile financial information, analyze results, and develop clear reports for internal stakeholders.
• Present financial findings and performance insights to managers to support planning and operational decisions.
• Complete data entry and general administrative accounting tasks as needed to support consistent service delivery.• Experience in staff accounting or a similar accounting role with responsibility for core financial processes.
• Working knowledge of general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliation procedures.
• Familiarity with corporate tax concepts, including sales tax reporting and related compliance requirements.
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly to management.
• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial records and transactional data.
• Comfort working in an office-based role and managing multiple deadlines in a structured environment.
