Intake Coordinator

Responsibilities Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an Intake Coordinator for day or night shift! The Intake Worker/Coordinator is accountable for coordinating the assessment and referral activities at the facility. This position involves extensive contact with the community. The position works closely with utilization review staff, business office staff and clinical staff to insure continuity of communication. This position is also responsible for inquiry calls, tracking the initial authorization completion and scheduling of evaluations and admissions. Shifts available: Day or Night.

Qualifications

Job Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred with a focus on psychology or nursing. Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in an outpatient environment, preferably in mental health. Additional requirements of the position: Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray every 4 years thereafter. Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance.
