Journeyman Electrician - Travel Position

Journeyman Electrician – (Colorado) GMEA Electrical Services Position Summary GMEA Electrical Services is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to support large‑scale commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This position is ideal for a motivated electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship, can lead by example in the field, and is capable of helping drive production while maintaining a positive team culture. The successful candidate will work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Managers to execute projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and project specifications. Lead and mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians. Promote productivity and help motivate crews to achieve project goals. Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen. Assist with manpower planning and task delegation in the field. Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship. Identify and resolve field issues while keeping leadership informed. Support project schedules and production goals through proactive communication and planning. Qualifications Active Journeyman Electrician license. Minimum 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical construction experience. Experience on large‑scale projects such as distribution centers, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, retail developments, or similar commercial projects. Strong leadership skills and ability to positively influence crews. Ability to coordinate effectively with field leadership and project management teams. Ability to read and interpret construction documents and electrical plans. OSHA certification preferred.
