Journeyman Electrician

The Journeyman Electrician's primary duties are to plan, layout, install and/or repair cable, conduit and equipment in the most workmanlike manner possible. The Journeyman Electrician at Duro Electric performs duties primarily in a jobsite setting. This position will report directly to a designated Foreman or Superintendent or other designated field leaders.

Minimum qualifications include a valid Colorado (or reciprocal) JW license.

Key skills and competencies include following all safety protocols, reading electrical drawings, using industry-specific testing equipment, using installation tools, excellent communication skills, managing multiple priorities, following direction, strong attendance, following company procedures, working in a team environment, meeting tool requirements, and being willing to travel.

Job responsibilities include following safety rules, planning installations, preparing sketches, measuring and installing conduit, testing circuits, installing control apparatus, pulling wiring, preparing wire splices, installing grounding leads, observing functionality, repairing equipment, leading and training apprentices, and performing additional duties.

Other requirements include a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, completing 24 hours of CEUs every three years, and maintaining active JW license status.

Preferred qualifications include an accredited electrical apprenticeship program, OSHA certifications, lift certifications, NICET, Denver Fire Alarm Installer License, NFPA70, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Compensation is $33 - $40 with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, disability insurance, and more.
